Adding to the list of big paydays for uncapped Indian cricketers, 22-year-old Karnataka batter Vrinda Dinesh also made headlines as UP Warriorz placed a bid of Rs 1.3 crore for her services.
Both Vrinda and Kashvee had recently represented India A in a three-match series against England A.
WPL AUCTION: Who got whom
In the initial stages of the auction, Australian cricketers commanded high bids, with all-rounder Annabel Sutherland going to Delhi Capitals for Rs 2 crore, and batter Phoebe Litchfield joining Gujarat Giants for Rs 1 crore.
Sutherland, a 22-year-old who was released by Gujarat Giants after the inaugural edition of WPL in March, attracted bids from defending champions Mumbai Indians initially, but the Capitals eventually secured her.

Gujarat Giants secured the services of left-handed 20-year-old Litchfield, who has made her debut across formats for Australia.
South Africa fast bowler Shabnim Ismail was a notable addition to the Mumbai Indians squad, fetching Rs 1.20 crore, three times her base price.
Royal Challengers Bangalore made significant acquisitions, securing Australia’s Georgia Wareham for Rs 40 lakh and England’s Kate Cross for Rs 30 lakh. Additionally, the 37-year-old Indian spinner Ekta Bisht was bought for Rs 60 lakh, twice her base price, by RCB.
The WPL auction showcased the competitive spirit as teams vied for top talents, setting the stage for an exciting second edition of the league.
